If this space allowed for 10 pages of text, I still couldn't fill it with enough positive words about Javier. He came highly recommended and even that was underselling it, in my opinion. Here's a quick rundown of our timeline: Introduced to Javier on March 28. Chatted with him via phone the same day; ran him through what we were looking for in our house. Javier found ~20 places that matched our criteria but identified the best two right away; one had a pending offer, and one had a deadline of the following day. The following day (March 29), walked me through the house and proposed a handful of terms for making an offer. Called us around 6 PM to tell us our offer had been accepted. Received the keys to the house on April 27. How does that happen? In the span of literally 36 hours, Javier went from being a stranger to the person who called to tell my fiancee and me that we could move forward with purchasing a home. That's insane, right? Especially in the Portland Metro area! All I had to do was stay on top of clerical stuff and provide the money, which was a major load off in terms of stress. Now, will this result be common for everyone? I can't imagine so I recognize that we got profoundly lucky. But that luck was aided by Javier's diligence, knowledge, connections, and implicit understanding of what we wanted in a house and what to move forward on. I think he'd be the first to tell you that it takes a team of people to make a home purchase come together, and that's undoubtedly true, too but honestly, I want Javier on my team for every transaction going forward. This process literally could not have been simpler from my standpoint, and a huge amount of that credit goes to him.
